Some will find ominous the Canadian Government’s new requirement that podcasters be registered. Others are alarmed that Russell Brand is being attacked with decades-old sexual allegations in exactly the same way that Julian Assange was. Still others are made nervous by ongoing American, British and European Government hysteria over ‘misinformation.’ I would argue that all three of these events simply demonstrate the frantic desperation of those in power. They know their efforts to control what people think are failing.
During the pandemic, the world’s tin-pot dictators had it made. They had us isolated. They controlled social media and search engines. Much of the population were so terrified they had reverted to a childlike state of wanting fervently to believe that Governments knew what they were doing. (Daddy will protect me!)
Now, not so much.
Majorities in both America and Europe want to stop sending money to Ukraine.
Uptake of the new COVID vaccines is pitiful. It’s pretty clear that any renewed attempts at mask mandates or lockdowns would meet with massive and widespread opposition.
The majority of Canadians want Justin Trudeau to resign. A majority of Americans think Joe Biden is too old and too corrupt to run for President again.
Joe Biden can spin whatever fantasies he likes about Bidenomics - Americans aren’t buying it.
Those in power have not lost their hold over a servile press corps. The CBC is still under the thumb of the Trudeau Government. The Democrat press in the US still twists itself into knots pretending that millions of dollars from unfriendly Governments going to Biden family members is not corruption.
What Governments cannot control is the truths that leak out through numerous back channels.
Almost everyone has someone in their family or their friendship circle who holds views contrary to the official narrative - and refuses to keep quiet.
Then there are all the podcasters - Joe Rogan, Tucker Carlson, Dan Bongino, Jordan Peterson, Megan Kelly, The Rubin Report, Russell Brand, Breaking Points, Jimmy Dore and Kim Iversen - all of which have audiences that CNN must envy.
There are great independent bloggers: Bernard at Moon of Alabama, Yves at Naked Capitalism, Larry Johnson at Son of the New American Revolution, Eugyppius, Caitlin Johnstone, the Easton Spectator, Zerohedge, and Vigilant News are all sites I follow.
Not to mention the many outstanding Substacks: Seymour Hersh, Stephanie Brail, Simplicius, Steve Kirsch, Michael Snyder, Robert Malone, and Ed Dowd, to name a few of my favourites.
We can’t forget all the great videos on Youtube and Rumble. John Campbell is tireless at digging up COVID data. George Gammon is great at making sense of the current economic craziness. Dima’s Military Summary channel gives the straight goods on the Ukraine War. I’m sure I’m forgetting some good ones.
On top of all that, I think most people have an in-built bullsh*t detector. When they hear stuff that doesn’t hang together, or doesn’t jibe with their own personal experience, an alarm goes off. Whether it’s the vaccines or the state of the economy, if what the Government says doesn’t align with a person’s direct experience, people go with their own reality over what they are told.
A good chunk of the population also recognizes authenticity when they see it. One-third of Democrats say they will vote for Robert Kennedy if he runs as an independent, despite the constant vilification and demonization of Kennedy in the Democrat press.
Finally, there’s so much new data coming out about the dangers of the mRNA vaccines, it is clear that Governmental efforts to muzzle the scientific community have broken down.
There’s this paper arguing that university vaccine mandates will do more harm than good. Another study found that COVID vaccines cause at least some damage to the hearts of all who receive them.
Alex Berenson reports: “Adults have sharply higher risks of being diagnosed with heart, skin, and psychiatric conditions for at least 90 days after they receive Covid jabs, a peer-reviewed study of almost 300,000 people in California has shown.”
Steve Kirsch has presented nursing home data that shows a huge spike in nursing home deaths coincident with the roll-out of the COVID vaccines.
Yet another study found: “After analyzing mortality data, the researchers calculated a mean all-ages fatal toxicity by injection of vDFR of one death per 800 injections across all ages and countries. This equates to 17 million COVID-19 vaccine-related deaths worldwide from 13.25 billion injections as of Sept. 2, 2023.”
The close correlation between vaccine uptake and excess deaths is also getting increasing attention. In this video, John Campbell looks at data indicating that highly-vaxxed countries are seeing death rates five to ten percent above normal in 2023, while countries with low rates of vaccination are seeing death rates below normal.
And finally, Dr. John Campbell has gathered an impressive array of data indicating the level of adverse reactions seen with the mRNA vaccines are often two orders of magnitude than for previous vaccines.
Here’s a screen shot comparing the COVID vaccines to flu vaccines, using US Government data, showing the risk of death from COVID vaccines is 169 times that of the flu vaccines:
Here’s another screenshot using European data to comparing adverse events for measles and polio vaccines with the mRNA COVID vaccines:
The above data works out as 73 adverse events per million measles vaccinations, 13 adverse events per million polio vaccinations, and 5,269 adverse events per million mRNA vaccinations. In other words, mRNA vaccines are 72 times more likely to cause an adverse reaction than measles vaccination and 405 more likely to cause an adverse reaction than polio vaccination.
It is because of data like this that most of Europe is now restricting COVID vaccines to those over age sixty-five. It’s ludicrous that the CDC is still recommending babies, teens, and pregnant women get vaccinated. Pfizer must be paying them really well. The CDC can recommend whatever they damn well please though; it is clear the organization has long since lost America’s trust.
Politicians will often ignore the wishes of the electorate, but only so far. We see that in changing responses to the war in Ukraine. Poland has recently stopped giving military equipment to Ukraine to appease voters there. Slovakia just voted out a Government that was gung-ho on the war. Republicans politicians are well recompensed to be strong supporters of war, yet even they are reluctant to drift too far from the wishes of Republican voters; key Republicans are now opposing any further funding for the war in Ukraine.
PS: I recently watched Dan Buettner’s Secrets of the Blue Zones, which basically says that the same stuff that makes people happy also makes them live a long time. The Netflix series came to conclusions strikingly similar to those in my own 1993 book Enough Already.
That, in turn, reminded me of the old Buddhist precept that the best way to fight evil is to support the good. I may be a little sporadic in my blogging in the near future as I meditate on where to go with this...
